We need to see it happen in our heads before we attempt reality. How does a dancer pick up moves? A pianist figure out how someone is playing? How do we do in Rome if we have never watched a Roman? Visualization plays a major role in making a goal become a reality.
So it I did it again! I was told my body was not meant for running. In high school, I constantly struggled to keep up with my long-legged friends. I have been mocked for being so slow! So why on earth would I sign up to run so many miles when it was not meant for me?
The glory is not in the finish but in the journey. You prove more to yourself by how you prepare than by what you do on that one day you finally race. After I finished my second half marathon, I felt quite victorious. It was a Chariots of Fire moment! Okay, picture one with frames slowed down even more dramatically to match my pace. Haha! No shame here, I finished it! So put down that Dorito bag and let me tell you how I finished my third half marathon!!! Rock n’ Roll LA!
